Virginia Frischkorn is the founder and principal of Bluebird Productions. She moved to Aspen, Colorado, after graduating from the University of Virginia in 2006 with a degree in Art History and Psychology. Originally drawn to Aspen for its winter ski season, Virginia quickly fell in love with the summer and autumnal months, as well as the amazing activities, food, and culture Aspen has to offer. She calls her hometown “the perfect mix of a small town with big city amenities.” After two years of playing in the snow as a ski instructor, she worked at The Little Nell as a Catering Sales and Events Manager where she developed a sharp attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and a high standard for providing the utmost quality of service for each of her clients — all of which would lead her to establish her own wedding and special events production company. Virginia’s background in fine art and her time spent exploring the world shape her approach to designing weddings and events, in which she also weaves in important details of each couple’s story and the setting of the celebration.
With a penchant for hospitality, Virginia has launched several additional companies, to further serve those that love celebrating and entertaining as much as she does: Bluebird in a Box, Something Blue, and, most recently, the Aspen Picnic Company.
Virginia is based in both Denver and Aspen. She lives with her two children (seven-year-old Zach and five-year-old Elizabeth) and avalanche rescue dog, Zara.
It was love at first sight for Nikki—or rather, at first internship. Since her college days and the years following graduation, she’s been working in various areas of the wedding industry: at an event planning and production company, in a wedding dress salon, and most recently as a production manager for a wedding photography studio. That background really gives her an edge when it comes to creating a picture-perfect celebration.
Nikki is all about the logistical side of being a wedding coordinator and thrives in watching the pieces of each event come together to create a beautiful and memorable moment. Her favorite part of wedding planning is the incredible feeling she gets watching magic come to life, all to celebrate the love of two people.
Nikki lives in Castle Rock, Colorado, with her fiancé Dan and two dogs, Ava and Sonny. This California girl loves Colorado for its endless beauty and all the adventurous activities it has to offer. Nikki loves music and enjoys getting lost in Spotify to create playlists for herself and her friends. Another of Nikki’s passions is traveling, and after a stint in New York City, she’s all about taking long drives with the windows down and no real destination set.
